Halloween at Eastbound Brewing

Halloween - the spookiest and best time of year!

Fizz and Flash partnered with Eastbound Brewing Company for Halloween 2025 - and to cheer on the Blue Jays, of course.

Here is what Fizz and Flash actioned for this event:

Programming

With the original goal of providing additional value to guests planning to visit Eastbound, Fizz and Flash’s programming evolved as the Jays continued to win, and with community buy-in. Fizz and Flash executed a fun evening that allowed patrons to enjoy Halloween and the Jays game - sound on, of course.

Programming curated by Fizz and Flash included beer and candy flights, tarot readings, a 7th-inning stretch pumpkin smash, decor, ghost stories, and local vendors.

Vendor Management

It takes a village - sometimes literally! Fizz and Flash united local Leslieville and Riverdale vendors and managed them on behalf of Eastbound Brewing.

Event Management

It’s not over until the last ghoul fades. From conception to execution to teardown, Fizz and Flash were on-site to oversee every detail of the event.

The Details

Don’t worry, I won’t bore you with the details of a logistics and communications plan. An excellent event ensures that the logistics are invisible. Guests don’t want to see the wizard behind the screen - they want to be spirited away by the experience they came for. Fizz and Flash created magic with all details invisible for a fully immersive experience.

I love partnering with local businesses and vendors, and Halloween was an excellent opportunity to showcase community talent and spirit (pun intended).

Old Boy Metal Co., and Lyon Scarlet

Lyon provided axes for the 7th inning stretch pumpkin smash and set up a spooky booth with Halloween-themed merch. Old Boy referred Ghost Rocket to us, which was a winning recommendation!

Ghost Rocket Makerspace, Becky Kanach-Quade and Mike Quade

New in town, Ghost Rocket laser-engraved pumpkins for decor. Designs included logos of Eastbound, Fizz and Flash, Old Boy, Ghost Rocket, Blue Jays, and spooky Halloween motifs. These pumpkins were smashed by guests during the 7th Inning Stretch.

Mistik Anna

Recommended by the creative retailers at Made for Me Marketplace, Anna is an intuitive tarot reader. While the veil was thin, Anna read the cards for attendees (and was scarily accurate!)

Hools Kay-Wyder

Asexual, non-binary, and neurodivergent creator who made magic through telling ghost stories. Hools compiled unique ghost stories for this event, roving the brewery to spook willing participants with her tales.

Of course, big thanks go to the talented and lovely service staff and chefs at Eastbound Brewing. Their contributions and direct interactions with guests made the night extra special and spooky.

Golden Dung Creative

A community for trying new things, bring creative, and celebrating authentic selves. GDC champions the act of creation of the quality. Events are “no-profits taken” in favour of paying performers, and sometimes have a charitable fundraising element.
